The role

We currently have an opportunity for a full-time Nextant 400XT / B400 XP Captain to join our international and domestic air ambulance jet operation, located in Darwin. 

 

This dedicated service provides a medically configured jet with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to support aeromedical retrievals and inter-hospital transfers across domestic locations within Australia and Internationally into South-East Asia. This role would suit a candidate seeking to move into a challenging aeromedical role in a high performance and modern glass cockpit turbojet operating across remote areas and international locations.

 

In addition to a family friendly roster this busy, professional aviation role includes a competitive remuneration and bi-annual simulator recurrency training at Flight Safety International. 

 

About you

To be considered for this position you will have: 

  • 5000 hours total;
  • 2500 hours command;
  • 1000 hours multi engine command;
  • 500 hours command turbine or turbojet;
  • 300 hours night;
  • ATPL;
  • 3 IFR renewals/IPC;
  • Class 1 Medical;
  • extensive experience in two crew operations;
  • the ability to work effectively as part of a team;
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • the ability to demonstrate a high standard of leadership during the conduct of flight;
  • a willingness to take on additional responsibility as required; and
  • a professional and client service oriented focus at all times.

The following will also be highly regarded:

  • B400 type endorsement
  • Proline 21 / 4 experience
  • Previous jet or fixed wing check & training experience
  • International operational experience
